Teasing New "Customer Order" Features

We've been working on the ability to create and track Customer Orders in Tumult, including the ability to generate invoices. The features won't be live for another couple of weeks, but we're excited to show you what we've been working on.

While we're not ready to go live quite yet, we've been working on some cool things that we're excited to share:

One of the most requested features we've had is the ability to create Customer Orders right in Tumult.

It makes a ton of sense: doing so lets you keep all of your info in one system and makes it much easier to track the progress of an order all the way through to completion.

As we build this though, it's key that we strike the right balance between simplicity and power. We want Tumult to do the things you need, without becoming so cluttered that it becomes unintuitive.

With that in mind, we've stuck with a familiar sidebar design for customer orders:

Users can hover over a part to get a glimpse of its status and location, making it easy to check on an order's status without chasing info around:

Adding parts to a Customer Order also automatically creates a corresponding Work Order, adding it to the Engineering Queue.

Now, you don't have to worry about keeping separate systems synced, as your Order system will be tied right into your engineering queue and production tracking.

We're still a couple of weeks away from going live, but we're excited to hear your feedback once we do.
